Sadiq close to return from injury

INJURED Real Sociedad and Super Eagles of Nigeria center forward, Umar Sadiq, who moved to Reale Arena last summer, has set a possible timeframe for his injury comeback.
The former AS Roma player stated he has been practising alone and is only one step away from joining Imanol Alguacil’s men in team workouts.
Sadiq who made his first-team debut for Real Sociedad in September’s match against Getafe FC, twisted his right knee after playing 38 minutes and could only receive assistance off the field.
Despite being away for more than 7 months, the 26-year-old had previously told a local media source that he would return long before his rehabilitation was complete, things do not seem to be going according to plan.
The Kaduna native, however, said he is beginning to feel better and wants to be back before the La Liga season concludes.
“Yeah, I’m good, I’m feeling good now. I am starting to feel much better. I hope in a few time I will be ready.” Sadiq said.
“I’ve been doing this for the past 7 months, going to the gym, treatment, and going for exams. It has not been easy, but that is my situation and I have to accept it so that I can be back stronger” he added.
