ANAMBRA State is fast becoming an industrial hub following impetus of flagship policies introduced by Gov. Chukwuma Soludo-led administration on the economy.

Chairman of South East Chapter of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Ada Chukwudozie, stated this in a presentation at International Convention Centre, Awka, during the ceremony marking Gov. Soludo’s one year in office, on Saturday.

Acknowledging that the entire southeast economy stands to benefit from multiplier effect of some of Gov. Soludo’s policies, Chukwudozie explained that this could happen through consequential industrialisation of neighbouring states, if only they would also mark up their physical and human capital infrastructure, by time Anambra would no longer have enough space to accommodate influx of industries into the state.

Listing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently signed with Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EDDC), new road projects going on in many communities and recruitment of skilled manpower in basic education and healthcare delivery as flagships, she projected them to drive massive growth and development through productivity in power sector, physical infrastructure and human capital.

“So the ease of doing business is to make the environment friendlier so that when you invite foreign investment, the environment will be friendly to welcome them. It will be so easy for any investor to come. I believe that Governor Soludo will also make Anambra the first state that comes to your mind when it comes to ease-of-doing business in Nigeria,” she said.
