THE Federal Government and Qatar are working out ways to see that there is an improved visa policy between the two countries.

Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, made the submission, saying that there is need to improve the visa policy between Nigeria and Middle East Country, Qatar.

According to Sirika, the restrictions on both sides are making it difficult to connect the two countries as expected.

According to his twitter post on the Federal Ministry of Aviation page, the aviation Minster said Nigeria and Qatar should maintain a sustainable relationship.

Sirika said Qatar is rich in oil and gas with other areas of investment just as Nigeria equally has infrastructures required for a smooth business operation.

In recent times, Nigeria has had slight disputes with some Middle East countries when it comes visa policies and even route connectivities.

Last year, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) immigration authorities announced a ban on visa applications from Nigerians over diplomatic row.
