INEC declares Nwifuru Ebonyi gov-elect

THE governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has finally been declared winner of Ebonyi State Governorship Election by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Declaring the result at INEC State Headquarters, Abakaliki, the Collation Officer, Prof Charles Igwe, disclosed that Nwifuru won 10 local government area of the state, All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) won 2 LGA, while PDP won one LGA.

He said Nwifuru scored total votes of 199131 to defeat his closest rival of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, who scored 80191 against All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA)’s Bernard Odoh, who scored 52189 votes.
