Poll projects APGA to win 22 seats in Anambra legislative election

We’re not relenting – LP, PDP, others
ALL Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has been projected to win tomorrow’s election into Anambra State legislative house.
This prediction was made in result of an opinion poll published online by a group of data analysts and public relations experts coordinated by FREEWORLD Continentale, yesterday.
The group had made similar projection by predicting outright victory in 17 states for candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Tonubu, shortly before the recently concluded February 25 presidential and National Assembly election.
According to the report, APGA will win 22 out of the 30 seats in a landslide that never was recorded in similar elections in the state with People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP) and Young Progressives Party (YPP) sharing the remaining eight seats among them at one, four and three respectively.
Explaining the result as “an outcome of four weeks’ opinion poll conducted using random sampling, between January 10 and February 11,” in the post which took no time before going viral on social media outlets, coordinator of the group, Mr. Kayode Okonkwo said “respondents were randomly selected from all the 21 local government areas.”
A breakdown of the opinion poll tips the ruling party to lead in all the three senatorial districts.
“Our respondents also said APGA will win Awka North State Constituency and Awka South I and II Constituencies, as well as Ayamelum, Anaocha I while LP will have Anaocha II as APGA resumes its winning streak in Dunukofia, Idemmili North, Idemmili South, Njikoka I and Njikoka II, Anambra East, Anambra West, Oyi, Onitsha North II, Onitsha South I, Onitsha South II, Ogbaru I and Ogbaru II. Others are Aguata I, Aguata II, Ekwusigo and Ihiala I while PDP bags Ihiala II and Labour takes Orumba North and Orumba South as Nnewi North, Nnewi South I as well as Nnewi South II go for YPP,” the post reads further.
But there are indications that other parties are spoiling to give APGA a run for its money as each makes final preparation to winning majority in the state legislature with Labour Party’s Senator-elect, Victor Umeh, saying in a radio programme that the party win landslide victory.
