Anambra trains 20,000 youths on digital skills

OVER 20,000 youths from all the 179 communities in Anambra State for training in selected digital skills.

  The programme is part of efforts geared towards total implementation of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s manifesto for the overall development of the state driven by education, health, youths and women empowerment, among others.

  Special Adviser to Gov. Soludo on Innovation and Business Incubation, Ms. Chinwe Okoli, stated this in a release issued in Awka, yesterday.

  Explaining that “Mr. Governor will flag off the scheme as part of activities to   launch Anambra State Solution Innovation District Program on Tuesday,” the release adds that the program is designed to empower over 10,000 youths annually on digital skills.”

  “We plan to position Anambra as a centre of excellence for human capital development and proactively leapfrog our students and youths as Africa’s digital tribe as contained in Gov. Soludo’s People’s Manifesto,” she said.

  The scheme was also explained as a driver of Anambra Innovation and Business Incubation Program (AIBIP).

  According to the release, “the scheme will not only expand the Anambra Digital Tribe (ADT) with skills competitive at home and exportable abroad; groom technology-enabled startups to provide solutions to local and global problems and raise innovative entrepreneurs and smart artisans through business incubation to enable them to innovate grow and scale their businesses to earn more revenue, contribute to the economy and create more jobs.”
