Republic of Niger honours Kebbi Gov

IN RECOGNITION of his exemplary leadership and contribution to the economic development of Nigeria and West Africa, the Republic of Niger has bestowed a prestigious award  on Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.

  Making this known to National Light reporter in a press release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Governor,  Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari, he  said that the investiture was performed in the capital city of Niamey by President Mohamed Bazoum witnessed by the President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embalo who was similarly honoured.

However, the Kebbi State Governor expressed his gratitude to the Niger Republic for the great honour, as well as to the people of Kebbi State and across for trusting his government.

He also reinstated his commitment to making the state a hub of industry and commerce, urging everyone to be dutiful to make this goal a reality.

The occasion also witnessed several notable personalities who have been bestowed prestigious awards, among whom were; Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, Gov. Abu Bakar Sani Bello of Niger State, and former Nigeria Foreign Affairs Minister, Amb. Babagana Kingibe, former Personal Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Alhaji Tukur Hassan and a famous businessman, Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal.

Also, Nigeria’s Senate President, Ahmad Lawal led top public office holders to attend the event.
