Napoli set sight on Osayi-Samuel

FENERBAHCE defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel could be joining Victor Osimhen in Napoli during the winter transfer window if the Naples side are keen on getting him sign the dotted line.
The Neapolitans are the runner-away leaders in Italy as they sit top of the Seria A table with 41 points and AC Milan chasing at a distance with 33 points and they are also in the knockout rounds of the UEFA Champions League as group winners ahead of Liverpool, and Ajax.
But manager Luciano Spalletti is constantly looking to make the team better and stronger and top on the agenda for the next transfer window is a backup right-back for the dependable, Giovanni Di Lorenzo with his sight set on Nigerian fullback, Bright Osayi-Samuel.
And Turkish news outlet Haberport claims that Napoli have begun negotiations with Fenerbahce for the former Queens Park Rangers star.
While a return to England (preferably the Premier League) is the number one desire of Osayi-Samuel, it is believed the 24-year-old is open to a switch to Serie A.
His contract with Fenerbahce runs till summer of 2025 but he has made it clear he would be willing to move in January if an acceptable offer arrives.
The converted winger made his Super Eagles debut in November during Nigeria’s friendly against Portugal. And playing in one of Europe’s five big leagues is crucial to enjoying a consistent run with the three-time African champions.
