Imo PDP mulls sack of  Ihedioha

Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State have decided to sack Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha for appointing himself as the Chairman of the Presidential Campaign Council in Imo State. 

Speaking with journalists in Owerri, Imo State, the Secretary of the party, Chief Ray Emeagha stated that Ihedioha sent a list of members to serve in the Presidential Campaign Council which he has selected without the consent of the party members which according to him was grossly unacceptable.

In his contribution, a renowned leader in PDP in Imo State, Chief Ngozi Ogbu said that the National Working Committee (NWC) gave Imo State PDP a template which stated that a state where PDP is a governor, the chairman of the Presidential Campaign Council goes to him, and a state where PDP is opposition, the Chairman of the Presidential Campaign Council should go to the leader and now, Imo State has no candidate for the position of Chairman, Presidential Campaign Council. 

“Ihedioha wanted to rule his people without their consent; it is abnormally awful”

Speaking further, a political scientist in the party, Dr. I C Ijeomah said that he will convey a meeting where they will discuss the immediate sack of Emeka Ihedioha from PDP, accusing him of introducing fraudulent, dubious and ineptitude in the PDP in Imo State.

Similarly, some of the PDP stakeholders, who spoke against Ihedioha’s self imposition as Chairman of the Presidential Campaign Council in Imo State include Chief Ray Emeagha,  the Secretary PDP in Imo, Chief Ngozi Ogbu Leader, others include Kissinger Ikeokwu, Chief Ben Duru, Barr.Jerry and Barr Adindu, among others.

Meanwhile, effort to get the comment of the Chairman of PDP in Imo State, Chief Charles Ugwu proved abortive.
