We’ll provide lasting solution to flooding in Anambra – Ibezim

ANAMBRA State Deputy Governor, Onyekachukwu Ibezim has assured that the Prof Charles Soludo-led administration will provide lasting solution to flood menace in the state.
Dr Ibezim stated this while addressing a forum called Ogbako Ndi Anambra, Delta Central and South, led by Iruka Prince Modunukwe, who brought relief materials for people affected by flood.
The event was held at State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Awka.
Dr Ibezim commended the forum for supporting the flood victims, saying that the mantra of ndi Anambra ‘Onye Aghana Nwanneya’ is actually what their actions portrayed.
He emphasised that “this year’s flooding experience is very outrageous”, promising that Soludo’s government is out to proffer permanent solution for flood disasters in the state.
The Chariman, Ogbako Ndi Anambra, Delta Central and South, Iruka Prince Modunukwe, appreciated the state government for intervening and coming to the aid of the flood victims.
Iruka said, “we heard of the way flood affected our people in the state, and we decided to support them with some relief materials, which include 150 bags of rice, 20 cartons of Indomie and N300,000.
Commissioner for Entertainment, Culture and Tourism, Don Onyenji, Executive Secretary, SEMA, Paul Odenigbo, other members of Ogbako Ndi Anambra, Delta Central and South, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor(Office of the Deputy Governor), Ugochukwu Obiefuna, Deputy Chief Protocol to the Governor ( Office of the Deputy Governor), Emma Obiozor, among others were present at the event.
