He explained that every responsible government ought to protect lives and properties of her citizens, adding that in the case of the recent flood victims, the federal government has failed woefully in protection of the citizens.

The prophet, however, blamed victims of the flood menace for not heeding to timely warning against the impending menace.

“The federal government erred for not making the lives of her citizens a priority. Government must also seek to protect properties of her citizens to attract love and loyalty of citizens”.

“However, the flood victims should share in the blame game for not evacuating earlier to escape from the rampaging disaster knowing about the poor emergency responses of Nigerian Government.”

“The situation appears like the biblical story of Noah and the ark. How Noah preached to the people about the rampaging flood, but was neglected by the people until the eventual flood”.

While narrating the significance of the Feast of Tabernacle, Prophet Okoye affirmed that it was in commemoration of the feast of the Seventh Month which heralds the harvest Jewish festival and abundant blessings of the time that the synagogue was celebrating in fulfillment of God’s injunction.
