Soludo inaugurates new LG Service Comm



GOVERNOR Chukwuma Soludo has inaugurated the members of the Local Government Service Commission (LGSC).

   They inauguration took place at Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.

   They include, Chief Vin Ezeaka Chairman, Stan Nwattah, Secretary, Azubuike Okoye, member, Mr Edwin Okafor, member, Prof Ngozi Christiana Ewuim, member and Mrs Anthonia Okoye, member.

   Speaking after inaugurating the commission, Governor Soludo noted that their duty is to help transform  the face of local government system.

   The governor noted that local government is the frontier of the government to the people, and expressed his readiness to make it deliver quality services to the people.

  Governor Soludo emphasised the need for disruptive change in the local government system, adding that the  people selected to drive the vision are knowledgeable and experienced which with their knowledge, will help upright the face of the local government towards achieving its main purpose.

  Governor Soludo, while concluding, promised that his administration will empower the local government to serve the people better.

 Earlier while introducing the commission members, the Commissioner for Local government, Chieftaincy and Community Matters, Mr Tony Collins Nwabunwanne, noted that the local government system will be reformed under Governor Soludo and assured of effective collaboration with the commission to make the system more effective.

   The chairman of the commission, Ezeaka, in his speech, promised to deliver beyond expectations with regards to repositioning the  local government system inline with the vision of Governor Soludo.

   The Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Uchenna Okafor, the Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Paschal Agbodike, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, Head of Service,  Theodora Igwegbe, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, among others were present at the event.
