…Pinpoints measures to reshape society

ALL paths led to the beautified hall of the Anambra Newspapers and Printing Corporation (ANPC), Awka last Friday to grace the occasion of a book launch by Mister Chuka  Nnachor, a journalist cum author. The atmosphere was seren e despite the cloudy weather and few showers of rain, but it didn’t deter guests who trooped in their numbers to appreciate and encourage the author on his published works, ‘Deluge’ and ‘ The Cause and Its Effect.’

  In his remarks, the book reviewer, Donatus Obadiegwu spoke extensively on the dual import of the two books in discourse of Nigeria apolitical and social economy. He appraised the writers inquisitive yet expository nature in informing and enlightening society. According to him, the joy of every writer is to see the audience gain maximum appreciation for his works.

  The chairman of the occasion,Sir Chuka Nnabuife  duly represented by Mrs. Rose Oranye explained that Nnachor works is timely and informative as the nation prepares for its presidential elections. He stressed the need for government and stakeholders to create avenues to encourage budding writers and promote reading culture amongst the people especially the youths.

  On the sidelines, Nnachor expressed profound appreciation for God for his infinite mercies towards him.     He said he was inspired to write the books after various in depth study of the subjects of politics and weather conditions.

  He further stressed the need for the political head office of presidency to be ceded to the lgbos citing reference of other tribes who have manned the office on previous times.

  The highlights of the occasion included the official unveiling of the two books, a choral performance and light refreshments plus exchange of pleasantries amongst the audience and guess.
