Ohaneze commands Afenifere, others for supporting S’East presidency

APEX Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Ebonyi State Chapter has showered praises to Afenifere and other socio organisations for supporting South East presidential aspiration in 2023, stressing that the period of regional politics  is over.

  Briefing journalists in Abakaliki, on the state of the nation, Chairman of the organisation in the state, Peter Mbam said Ohaneze is advocating a new Nigeria where injustice, equity and fairness will reign supreme.

  “Since 1999, no one from the region has been president of this country. We are seeing 2023 as good opportunity to probably and gradually correct marginalisation of Ndigbo in the affairs of Nigeria.

  The 2023 election will give every region, especially the South East the opportunity to fit in and properly belonged.

  “We don’t support Ndigbo to leave Nigeria presently. I don’t know what will happen tomorrow. We will want to be in Nigeria.

  Dr. Mbam, who further noted that Nigerians are wiser and better informed politically said Ohaneze advocates  a Nigeria where there is justice, equity and fairness in sharing of the common wealth”.

  He further stated that Ndigbo want to remain  in Nigeria where they will not be treated as second class citizens.

  “We appreciate the efforts of all concerned patriots who always stand by the truth and justice irrespective of tribe or cultural affiliation”.
