Ibuzor assures quality representation,
flags off campaign in Onitsha

AS CAMPAIGNS begin for various offices in the 2023 general elections in Nigeria, a House of Assembly member, representing Onitsha North II Constituency inAnambra State House of Assembly, Edward Ibuzor has promised to deliver positive representation if voted into office in the 2023 election.

  The lawmaker, who is an All Progressives Grand alliance (APGA) House of Representatives candidate for Onitsha North/South Constituency said with the current “obedient” movement in the country, that the whole country was bound for positive change, including the National Assembly.

  Ibuzor, who flagged-off his campaign for the National Assembly race at Godwin Achebe Stadium, Fegge, Onitsha South Local Government Area of the state lamented that the present crop of lawmakers in the National Assembly had not put in their best to forestall injustices meted  out to several sections of the country.

  He revealed that it was poor representation of the people at the National Assembly that contributed to gross insecurity across the country, adding that if lawmakers at various levels of government had performed their duties well, insecurity across the country would have been tackled long ago.

  The lawmaker, who expressed sadness over the poor condition of work done by some National Assembly members as “Constituency Projects” , however, said it was an act of wickedness for some privileged group of persons to use public funds to execute inferior projects in their constituencies.

  While recalling a particular incident about a former Commissioner for Works in Anambra State who refused to reconstruct Akpaka/Prison Road, Onitsha, after it had been awarded by the immediate past administration, Ibuzor said he personally continued to lobby for the reconstruction of the road which he revealed, was being given attention by Gov. Chukwuma Soludo.

  Chairman, Onitsha South Local Government, Mofus Ezeoba, in an interview, urged support for the APGA candidate.

  He affirmed that the good works of the lawmaker would endear him to voters in the 2023  national election in the country.
