THE new road projects recently flagged off by Gov. Chukwuma Soludo for construction in many communities in Anambra State will attract more investors to set shop in the state, particularly in rural areas.

Transition Committee Chairman of Ayamelum Local Government Area, Livinus Onyenwe, made the projection while fielding questions from newsmen in Anaku, yesterday.

Commending Gov. Soludo for taking the bull by its horns in line with his administration’s commitment to transforming Anambra into a livable and prosperous homeland, Onyenwe said Amansea-Ebenebe-Ugbenu-Awba-Ofemili-Umuerum-Omor Road deserves specific mention for its strategic importance in connecting Awka North and Ayemeulum Local Government Areas.

According to him, the road when completed, will link the communities with Awka the state capital in less than 10 minutes.

Regretting that past administrations had overlooked the road, Onyenwe  said ndi Anambra from the connected towns would never forget Gov. Soludo for putting them in the map of socio-economic development by not only reconstructing dilapidated segments of the road but also expanding it into Ayamelum.
