Idemili South lauds Soludo for Mmili John dredging flag off

TRANSITION Chairman, Idemili South Local Government Area (ISLGA), Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Idemili) after welcoming Soludo on his second official visit to the LGA, eulogised him for implementing solution oriented policies and projects.

“My Solution Governor, you have been on top of the situation, fighting insecurity to a halt in Anambra State which made you discover that this failed portion of Mmili-John road has been a bane of kidnapping, robbery and killings.

“Rehabilitating this road will indeed bring relief to motorists since it has been a major bypass to circumvent dilapidated Onitsha-Owerri road.Umu Idemili and in extension Ndi Anambra are indeed grateful.

We kindly request you consider completing the Oba-Umuoji-Akwuukwu road project and also consider the rehabilitation of Nnobi-Awkaetiti and Awkaetiti-Nnokwa roads. These inter-community roads can help decongest traffic.

According to Igwe Gerald Mbamalu of Ojoto, one can easily appreciate the depth of our joy and gratitude to His Excellency, our governor for promptly responding to our cry regarding the deplorable condition of Mmili-John road and the danger it has been posing to users.

“At some point, hoodlums took over Mmili-John axis. Dead bodies were occasionally found here sometimes with body parts missing.Ojoto Igwe –in- council, in collaboration with Ojoto Akanasato Union mobilised Ojoto vigilante services to patrol this road on a 24 hours basis.

“To improve security here, we request the state government to complete the street light project across the Mmili-John road. We implore Your Excellency to help tackle the erosion menace in Ire Village, Ojoto, threatening people’s lives and homes.

Igwe Mbamalu further requested Governor Soludo to revisit two abandoned roads construction with asphalting projects formerly awarded to Pachuks Engineering Ltd, urging him to consider Ojoto indigenes for meaningful political appointments because the community were mostly APGA faithful.

Also, All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) aspirant for House of Representatives, Idemili North & South constituency, Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu (Ike Cubana) commended Governor Soludo for demystifying the challenges of Anambra State within less than six months in office.

“Governor Soludo knows how to break the jinx that comes up with every challenge in governance, be it security, infrastructure and otherwise. He said that the dredging will be completed in six weeks and we believe him,” he said.

Chairman/Contractor ALITHO Nigeria Limited, Chief Emeka Ezego Nwolisa (Ichie Otabilionye) who thanked Governor Soludo for entrusting his company with the project assured that he would do more than expected because the project is in his own LGA.

“We shall deliver the project within the six weeks, dredging the river 500 meters at both sides of the bridge. I have even invited our Governor, Charlie Nwamgbafor to come for the commissioning of the street lights I installed at my community, Awkaetiti,”said Nwolisa.

Also, Spiritual Director, Mountain of Solution Catholic Adoration Ministry, Rev Fr. Basil Man-Pass-Man Gbuzue, after praying for the success of the project blessed the Prof Soludo led administration saying that God will give them more wisdom in tackling the myriad of challenges facing the state.
