Oyo approves over N603m for security operatives’ vehicles

AS PART of its efforts to improve the security sector of the state, the Oyo State Government has approved a sum of ₦603,881,250)for the procurement of 25 Jack Pick up vehicles for the security operatives in the State.

   The state Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Wasiu Olatunbosun, gave the hint on Tuesday while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the State Executive Meeting, presided over by Governor Seyi Makinde.

   Dr Olatunbosun also revealed that another N175,498,050 was approved to purchase security equipment for the State Joint Security Task Force (Operation Burst), in order to enhance and protect operation of the security outfit.

   Dr Olatunbosun said that the JAC Pick-up vans would enhance the security of lives and properties in the state.

   The commissioner also reaffirmed the forthcoming commissioning of Idi-Ape – Bashorun – Odogbo Barracks Road dualisation project by the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, on Thursday.
