Anambra condemns attack son Sen Ubah’s convoy

THE attack on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s convoy around Nkwor Enugwu-Ukwu market square, Njikoka Local Government Area,  Anambra State leading to the death of a yet-to-be-ascertained number of people were shot dead by gun men yesterday has been condemned by the State Government.

    The condemnation was contained in a statement issued on behalf of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo, by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, today.

    Commiserating with the families of the victims, the governor said that government will leave no stone unturned in apprehend those behind the attack.

   Gov. Soludo also government will do so in its determination to wipe out criminality in the state.

  “It was reported on Sunday evening that Senator Representing Anambra South Senatorial Zone, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah narrowly escaped bullets of some gun-wielding men who attacked his convoy at Enugwu-Ukwu road in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State. This is the last ditched-effort of a sinking boat by these criminal elements, because all security agencies are now on full alert to fish out the perpetrators of the attack and be made to face the full wrath of the law,” the statement reads in part. 148 Nigerians lost their lives.
