Uruagu PG commends community for successful ‘Afia Olu’

THE President General, Uruagu Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area, Chief Innocent Okolie has appuluded the illustrious sons and daughters of the community for their support in making this year’s new yam festival a success.

  He described this year’s festival as a unique one ,adding that the peaceful coexistence in the community made them to always excel

  The Organiser Oil and Gas boss said that Uruagu as the second community out of the four quarters in Nnewi is always known for the best, urging them to sustain peace and tranquility which they are know for.

  The event which held at Obi Uruagu Nnewi attracted many dignitaries including the APGA candidate for Nnewi North House of Assembly, who is also a member of the community, Comr Peter Nwosu.

  Speaking to journalists, Comr Nwosu described this year’s festival as bountiful and unique one , stressing the need to uphold our cultures and tradition.

  He maintained that the celebration helps to bring peace and harmony to the community,

  Nwosu stated his readiness to give Nnewi adequate and proper representation if voted in 2023 general election.

  He encouraged youths to be resourceful, and shun all elements of social vices that can destruct peace in the community
