Nwezi celebrates ozo title in Awka

A DAY worthy to be remembered has been made in the life of Chief Chukwunonso Stephen Nwezi and wife, Lolo Chinenye Nwezi (Ojiefi Ifeadigo) during the celebration of his prestigious Ozo tittle as Ozo Ifeadigo of Umueri Awka, in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

  Among personalities who graced the event were the Anambra State-based Medical Consultant, and National President of National Complementary and Alternative Medicine Association, (NACAMA), Prof. Peter Emeka Katchy; Chief Sir. Boniface Olisakwe (KSJI); government officials, business associates from Plumbing Material, Head Bridge, Onitsha, friends and well-wishers, as well as relatives.

  Speaking to pressmen, one of the Ozo title holders in the community, Chief Umeadu Aniagor, Ozo Chukwuhurunanya described it as the most expensive traditional title in Awka, more  than other communities as well as its processes, terms and conditions through which a person can become a prestigious Ozo in Awka community, adding that it usually costs about N30million and above for an individual to be their member.

  Also speaking, the secretary of Awka Development Union, Onitsha Branch, Dr. Chris Ifeanyi Nwosu described the celebrant as man of many parts and true son of the soil, who has passion to serve humanity, even as he commended him for his tremendous support and wisdom for the union and society at large.

  According to Nwosu: “His name is synonymous with peace, generosity and magnanimity. He is a philanthropist to the core and a God fearing son, who derives joy in the culture and tradition of our community. He gives moral support for the growth of Awka Development Union and entire Awka kingdom. May God continue to bless him beyond measures”.

  In an interview with the business associates, Chief Joseph Anyacho and Christopher Ilochi said the prestigious title is made for truthful and well respected men who can advocate for peace, enrich the less privileged in the society, even as they prayed for long life and prosperities upon his family.

  Speaking shortly after the event ,elder brother to the celebrant, Brother Patrick Chibuogu Nwezi and Lolo Ojiefi Ifeadigo expressed their gratitude to God for the successful end of the event and prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon their friends and loved ones. Other friends who were also present during the event include Christian Okoye, Prince Emeka Igwekamma, Damian Okonkwo, Emeka Ugueze, Obinna Onwuekwe, Matthew Nosike, Chukwukeluo Ofili, among many others.
