Immigration promotes 43 officers in Anambra

IT WAS all smiles for 43 Officers of Nigeria Immigration Service, Anambra State Command as they were promoted to new ranks by Comptroller Isabel Jere Idris, represented by the Zone G Zonal Coordinator, Mr Dominic Asogwa.

  The officers were decorated at the command’s headquarters in Awka, the capital of Anambra State.

  Speaking at the occasion, the Assistant Comptroller General, Immigration, Mr Dominic Asogwa described promotion as a means of encouraging members to be more committed to duties, even as he charged the newly decorated officers to double efforts in order to move the sector and the nation forward.

  In his address to the officers, Mr Asogwa congratulated the newly promoted officers and charged them to be dutiful and not take the new opportunity for granted.

  Mr Asogwa further disclosed that more officers would benefit from such gesture but it would be strictly on merit as usualm, adding that the sector has successfully transformed Nigeria’s border since inception of it incumbent Comptroller General.

  Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration Service, Anambra State Command, Mrs Ngozi Odikpo, welcomed the 43 newly promoted officers, urging them to uphold the service’s ethics and not relent in their individual and collective efforts to secure Nigeria’s borders.

  While speaking on behalf of the recipients, Assistant Comptroller Ephraim Agbo commended the Nigerian Immigration Service for such gesture and called on his colleagues to see it as a call to service.
