THE fact that in the recent times, Anambra State is electorally free from the monster known as godfatherism and maladministration justifies it’s slogan “the Light of the Nation”.
The history of the state, since its creation with Awka as the state capital, reveals that the state had always been blessed with renowned capitalists, intellectuals, technologists and successful traders but challenged with poor infrastructural facilities, Mr Peter Obi did great because he touched almost all the sectors of Anambra State. Dr. Willie Obiano, who came into office after Obi had also a remarkable performance. Prof Soludo who had just spent few months in the office is also doing marvelously well.
I can proudly say that if the state continues on this trend, it stands the chance of being the best among the five Southeastern states, in the area of governance, human and capital development, agriculture, among others.
If we continue to elect God fearing, hardworking and competent people to pilot the affairs of the state, Anambra will be the best state in Nigeria.
