THE Chairman, Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), Anambra Chapter, Kingsley Nwokoye, has called on youths in the state to support the Prof Chukwuma Soludo administration for the actualisation of the administration’s laudable dream for prosperous and liveable homeland.
Nwokoye, who made the call in a conversation with the press in Awka recently, solemnly expressed optimism that the Soludo administration will deliver on its promises to the people of the state, adding that the governor had diagnosed the state and found out where its problems lie.
His words, “my message to the Anambra people, especially youths, whom God gave me privilege to minister is that they should support Soludo to succeed.
“We’ve seen clarity of facts, conviction and commitment in him having participated in meetings he had chaired since he assumed office.
“We’ve been watching his programmes, and all he is saying that he will do are are on the right track. So, I strongly believe that through him, God will make Anambra better”, he said.
The Christian youth leader further extolled Governor Soludo’s leadership style, saying “to me Soludo has done well. For instance, when you go to a hospital, for a medical attention, what a learned doctor will first do is to diagnose you so that you and the doctor can understand what’s actually wrong with your system.
“This is what Soludo has done… a good diagnosis on Anambra State; he has actually made us to understand our problems, and systematically applying solutions to them.
“His reforms on environment, taxation, and others, are very interesting… imagine a society, where an agboro man, who has no certificate, and without any legitimate commitment, has money more than everybody in that society. Soludo is saying no to this, and diplomatically restoring order in Anambra”, he noted.
On the state of the nation, Nwokoye challenged entire youths in Nigeria, to wake up and arise to the urgent need of the present Nigeria, by taking up the ownership of the nation which he believes, lies on their hands.
He reminded youths, “our National Anthem says, ‘arise O’compatriots’… this is a prophetic call, and it suggests, Nigerians have been sleeping. Therefore, I call on Nigerians, especially youths to arise to take up their rights. Youths should arise to cast and protect their votes; youths should arise to support whatever that’s good; youths should arise to condemn whatever that’s wrong… God showed us a little light through #EndSARS protests in which He used youths to push the governments to do the right things… I want the momentum to continue”, he said.
