Abia rattled by 3 monkeypox cases in one week

…Govt sues for caution
RESIDENTS of Abia are currently gripped in fear after three cases of monkeypox were recorded in the state in the last one week.
Confirming the cases in a Radio programme in Umuahia, Abia State Epidemiologist, Peace Nwogwugwu said the state government is tracking the development to ensure it does not escalate.
Nwogwugwu also cautioned residents to go about their normal businesses but maintain all stipulated guidelines to prevent and control the spread of monkeypox disease in the state.
