Labour Party canvasses good governance in Nigeria

ANAMBRA State  Chairman of  Labour Party,  Ugo Eme has described the Tinubu/Shettima Muslim/Muslim presidential ticket as height of insensitivity by a political party in a country which claims to be practicing democracy.

  Eme. who spoke to the press in Amawbia, urged the Nigerian electorate to decide on what to do with their votes given the trying political travails the country is facing.

  The Labour Chairman in sharp contrast, hailed the Obi/Yusuf Christian/Muslim ticket as a choice that has gone down well with some progressive minds in Nigeria.

  He urged Nigerians to come out en masse during the 2023 presidential election to vote for Mr. Obi and his running mate, Dr. Yusuf who epitomes detribalised and dereligionalized Nigerians.

On his part, the secretary of the Labour Party, Colonel Victor Ndulue (Rtd) weighed the presidential candidature of Mr. Obi, Alhaji Ahmed Tinubu and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and rated the Labour Party flag bearer most competent to pilot the affairs of Nigeria with his wise choice of Dr. Yusuf.

  The Publicity Secretary of the party, Joseph Emego, noted that Mr. Obi’s political profile has soared so much so that his acceptance has gone beyond Anambra State. 

  In a related development, the Anambra State Coordinator, Peter Obi Support Movement 2023, Mr. Uche Uchendu has endorsed Mr., Peter Obi’s running mate, Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed from Kaduna State as a good omen for democracy in Nigeria.

  Mr. Uchendu, who spoke to the press in Amawbia on the Christian/Muslim ticket expressed delight that in the choice, the secularity of the country was taken into consideration.

  The coordinator noted that the movement is seeking partnership with Labour Party in the state to be part of enthroning good governance in Nigeria.

  He announced that concerted efforts have been made to create the necessary awareness among the youths and the electorate on the efficacy of the permanent voters cards.

  Furthermore, the Naija movement a support group for Mr. Peter Obi which spoke through its Anambra State Coordinator, Comrade Chidi Nzekwe announced that the movement will stage a permanent voter cards sensitisation rally on the 19th of July 2022, to celebrate the birthday of the Labour Party flag bearer Mr. Peter Obi.
