THE state organising secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance party(APGA), Anthony Nwakile has called on the Nigerian electorate to respect the six-geopolitical zoning arrangement in the 2023 presidential election by voting en masse for a president of the South East Geopolitical Zone extraction.

  Mr. Nwakile, who spoke to the press at the APGA State Secretariat in Awka, noted that in doing that, the principles of equity, fair play and justice would have been met.

  The organising secretary bemoaned the political racketeering in today’s Nigerian politics where politics of nepotism, favoritism and pecuniary tendencies have become the order of the day.

He decried the obvious marginalisation of the Igbos of the South East extraction, who has not produced the executive presidents of Nigeria since independence.

  Mr. Nwakile further spoke of the efficacy and imperative of the Nigerian electorate arming themselves with their permanent voters cards and using them during the 2023 general elections to vote for leaders of their choice.

In a related development, an industrialist from Isi Achina, Joseph Nwakpadolu, expressed delight in the presidential ambition of Mr. Peter Obi and his wise choice of choosing Senator Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed as his running mate.

  Viewing the pair as a perfect match, Chief Nwakpodolu urged the Nigerian electorate to do the needful by voting en masse for them.

  The political analyst expects Nigerians at this period of economic doldrums and political instability to take their destinies in their hands by voting for progress and good governance.

  To achieve it, Chief Nwakpodolu urged all eligible Nigerians yet to procure their permanent voters cards to do so to be part of the success story.

  Commenting on the recent Muslim/Muslim ticket adopted by the presidential flag bearer of the APC, Alhaji Ahmed Tinubu, who chose former Governor of Bornu State, Shettima, as his running mate, the traditional ruler of Omasi, Igwe Benjamin Okeyi and a Catholic clergy, Very Reverend Monsignor Professor John  Pau lNzomiwu condemned the political calculation as counter productive.
