I’ll create millionaires in Ihiala if elected – Reps aspirant

IMMEDIATE past managing director, Anambra State Road Maintenance Agency (ARMA), Emeka James Okoye, says he will create millionaires in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra state, if elected the next representative for Ihiala Federal Constituency come 2023.

Okoye, who stated this at Maybond Hotel, Awka, at the weekend, while addressing ward chairmen, women leaders and stakeholders from Ihiala, said he has the education, work experience and reach to create avenues for the making of millionaires and entrepreneurs in the council area.

Okoye, who officially declared his intention to represent Ihiala Federal Constituency in 2023 while addressing party faithful who thronged the venue of his declaration ceremony, said he was not making empty promises but was prepared to enter into a written agreement with Ihiala people about his mission to create veritable sources of wealth for the people.

He said he was prepared to serve Ihiala people because he understands their needs and will employ legislative instruments to ensure the actualisation of these needs.

Okoye, who stated that his mission to the House of Representatives was genuine, noted also that it was the party faithful that would make his aspiration possible and that he believes he’s got the experience and know-how to make many entrepreneurs and create real jobs for ndi Ihiala.

The former ARMA MD said he will continue to stand by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ihiala Local Government Area and will not abandon the party if he secured their mandate to go to the House of Representatives, adding that under his watch as the Managing Director of the Anambra State Road Maintenance Agency, roads were attended to in Ihiala and people were offered employments too.

He said he would not wait for constituency votes or the federal government to make his presence felt at the Green Chambers, instead, he would reach out to donor agencies and source funds to create more wealth for the people of Ihiala as evident in what he described as agroprenueur, where he has already trained and equipped over 100 persons with skills in commercial agriculture.

Okoye said, “I want to create millionaires in Ihiala Local Government. I want to create wealth for our people. I want to create several millionaires in Ihiala in the four years I will serve my people if given the mandate.

I have been giving out scholarships but I want to take it to a different level now. Kano State has the highest number of pilots in Nigeria. The question is, what will Ihiala be known for? What will Ihiala be a hub for? We will focus our scholarships on what Ihiala will be known for.

I am not into politics of deceit and deception but into politics of truth because I can sign whatever I say I will do and how I will do it. So we need somebody we can hold in trust because Ihiala must move forward with new innovations and new ideas.

If I win the election and represent Ihiala in the Federal House of Representatives, the first thing we will do is to have data of unemployed youths and a host of other things and then find out the best things Ihiala really needs and the party will be used to realise this all-important goal. So I plead with you to support me because I am the best person to represent you at the Green Chambers in 2023. “
