In Isuofia, Soludo thanks God for assumption of office
ANAMBRA State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, Sunday, at St Theresa’s Catholic Church, Umueze, Isuofia, offered a special thanksgiving for a successful inauguration ceremony held on Thursday.
The Thanksgiving Mass, presided over by the Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, Most Reverend Peter Okpalaeke was attended by the wife of the governor, Dr Mrs Nonye Soludo, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Uche Okafor, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, members of the state and national assemblies, many others.
Bishop Okpaleke, in a sermon, encouraged Governor Soludo to be a leader that will make the people smile always, and charged the deputy governor, Dr Ibezim and others that will work with the governor to put the interest of the state before any other interest.
He said that God gave Anambra the right leader and tasked ndi Anambra on effective collaboration by being law-abiding.
He enjoined ndi Anambra to always promote peace and unity and asked the people to always pray for those in authority.
A special prayer was offered by the entire congregation to dedicate the governor and all those that will work with him, the state, and the entire nation to God for divine direction.
