Obiano’s legacy projects unquestionable – Monarchs

TRADITIONAL rulers in Anambra State have lauded Governor Willie Obiano’s giant developmental achievements, saying his legacy projects are unquestionable.

  Chairman, Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council and the Obi of Onitsha, along with other king’s made their feelings known during the inauguration of the International Conference Centre in Awka.

One of the awardees and  Obi of Onitsha, Obi Alfred Achebe extolled Governor Obiano for building the International Conference Centre, Anambra International Passenger and Cargo Airport and the Awka Township stadium, among others timely and within specifications.

He harped on good working relationship the kings have enjoyed and remarked that Governor Obiano presented over 60 certificates of recognition to Anambra traditional rulers, noting that  the kings held monthly and annual seminars without hitches , courtesy of Governor Obiano’s largesse and support,.

He stated categorically that the traditional institution under Governor Obiano is better than that of other administrations as according to him, Governor Obiano has recognised more traditional rulers during his administration and has done well in all spheres.

Igwe Chidubem Iweka of Obosi, the patron of traditional rulers, Igwe Kenneth Orizu of Nnewi, Igwe Sunday Okafor of Okpuno, Igwe Alex Onyido of Ogidi, Igwe Christopher Okpala of Akwaeze, Igwe Charles Agbala of Uke and Igwe Wisdom Onebunne of Akwaihedi ,appreciated Governor Obiano’s legacy projects in the state, describing him as a great achiever who had impacted positively on lives of the citizenry.

Other kings who barred their minds, including  Igwe Benjamin Okeji of Omasi, Igwe Goodwin Nwabunwanne of Abacha, Igwe Christopher Nnaegbuna of Ebenebe town, Igwe PN Ilomuanya of Umunri/ Eri, Igwe Okpologwu ,Igwe Moses Okpalamaka and his Ezinifite Aguata counter part,Igwe Bob Orji described the projects as wonderful and remarked that Governor Obiano has written his name in gold and will ever be remembered by ndi Anambra.

Igwe Pius Omachonu of Olumbanasaa, Igwe Ezekwesilimadu Agwuna of Obaofemili,Iigwe Steven Ezenwugo of Uga and the traditional ruler of Nawgu , Igwe George Okaa Onwuogu, among others all eulogised the N20 million choose your community projects, prompt payment of workers’ salaries and the governor’s Ozoemezina initiative and  described his developmental projects as beautiful, remarking that Governor Willie Obiano has run a good race.

They said that he came ,saw and conquered, noting that as he bows out in pride and honour, ndi igwe and the citizenry wish him the best with his wife, Ebelechukwu.
