WINTER TRANSFERS IN TOP FLIGHT EUROPEAN LEAGUES

THERE were major exciting football transfers that materialised during the January transfer window cutting across the major European clubs from Aubamayang controversial move to Barca to Guimares ending up in Newcastle, to Arsenal pursuit of Vlahovic only to end up in Juve; here are the updates in the winter transfer windows.

PIERRE-EMERICK Aubameyang: Arsenal to Barcelona, (Free transfer).

  The transfer of Gabon International to Barcelona was one of the most controversial transfers during the window, the contract was signed before the official statement one of the last as it happened in the final hours of the window, although Aubameyang still has 18 months in his Arsenal contract.

  Ferran Torres: Manchester City to Barcelona, £46m.

  The 21-year-old has always been a major target for the Catalan giants and the deal was finally sealed as one of the earliest transfers that occurred in the window. The Spanish international barely spent two years with the citizens but he managed to lift two trophies in the time being.

  Aaron Ramsey: Former Arsenal star and Wales midfielder Ramsey from Juventus has been sent on loan to Rangers.

  Sérgio Oliveira: Porto to Roma, Loan.

  Dusan Vlahovic: Fiorentina to Juventus, £63m.

  Despite being linked with a couple of Premier League clubs like Arsenal. The Serbian International finally settled to sign for The Old Lady.  In 28 January 2022, on the day of his 22nd birthday, Vlahović signed for Juventus on a four-year contract; the deal was worth €70 million, plus €10 million in performance-related bonuses.

  Philippe Coutinho: Barcelona to Aston Villa, Loan.

  Reuniting with former Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard now a manager, Aston Villa’s manager. On January 15, 2022, he made his debut coming on for Morgan Sanson as a 70th minute substitute against Manchester United, scoring the equaliser in a 2–2 home draw in the Premier League.

  Maduka Okoye: SpartaRotterdam to Watford.

   Watford continue their streak of signing Nigerian players after securing the services of Samuel Kalu this season they now have Okoye, On November 8, 2021, it was announced that Okoye had agreed to join Premier League outfit Watford on a five-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee. Okoye joined Watford on January 1, 2022. The deal saw Okoye loaned back to Sparta Rotterdam until the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

  Luis Díaz: Porto to Liverpool, £33m.

This deal sees the 25-year-old Columbian international join The Reds.

  Bruno Guimarães: Lyon to Newcastle, £33m.

  After the take over by the Saudi’s in Newcastle, which is made up of  Public Investment Fund, RB Sports & Media and PCP Capital Partners. The club has not been shy from spending big on players.

  One of Newcastle’s big-money moves sees Brazilan midfielder Bruno Guimarães , who is one of the best all-around midfielders on the European Continent join the English club to help them keep their hopes of surviving in the premier league next season alive.

  Denis Zakaria: Mönchengladbach to Juventus, £4.2m.

  One of the most in-demand central midfielders in Europe despite being on the list of several Premier League clubs finally penned a deal with the Italian side.

  Dele Alli: Spurs to Everton, Free but with potential add-ons of up to £30m. The promising English prospect fell out in favour with Mourinho, Nuno and now conte.

  Anthony Martial: Manchester United to Sevilla, Loan. Former golden boy had tagged the future of attack has been unfortunate in Man –U, and now with Cavani, Ronaldo, Rashford means there is no room for the Frenchman.  However, he will continue to play for Sevilla on loan.

  Julián Álvarez: River Plate to Manchester City, £15m.

  Although the 22-year-old top goalscorer in the Argentinian Top flight league has penned a deal with the Premier League Champions, he will remain at River Plate until at least July.

  Wout Weghorst: Wolfsburg to Burnley, £12m.

  Burnley have signed the Dutch international Wout Weghorst from Wolfsburg. The 6ft 6in striker penned a three-and-a-half-year contract.

  Rodrigo Bentancur: Juventus to Tottenham, £15.9m.

  Spurs have acquired the services of the 24-year-old Uruguayan hoping that he would provide the missing link between midfield and attack for the North London team.

  Arthur Cabral: Basel to Fiorentina, £12m.

  Fiorentina hopes they can get a worthy replacement of Vlahovic is Arthur who has been in stupendous form in the Swiss Super League. They hope he can replicate his form in Serie A to help the team in every aspect.

  Hwang Hee-chan: RBLeipzig to Wolves, £14m.

  The Asian Striker finally sealed a deal with the Premier League club after his loan spell at the club in the first half of the season.

  Deniz Undav: Royale UnionS aint-Gilloise to Brighton,

  The Seagulls who are known for their excellent recruitment and signings have finalized a deal with a Prolific German striker. The 25-year-old will remain on loan at the partner club till the end of the season.

Vitalii Mykolenko: Dynamo Kyiv to Everton, £17m.

Jesús Corona: Porto to Sevilla, £2.9m.

Lorenzo Insigne: Napoli to Toronto FC, Free.

Jean-PhilippeMateta: Mainz05 to Crystal Palace, £10m.

Ibrahima Kone: Sarpsborg to Lorient, £3.3m
