Gunmen kill APC governorship aspirant

AN All Progressives Congress (APC ) governorship aspirant in Zamfara State in the 2019 governorship election, Alhaji Sagir Hamida, was on Sunday evening, shot dead by unknown gunmen, near Abuja.

Sagir Hamida, an Abuja-based businessman and former director in the federal civil service, aspired for the governorship of Zamfara on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2011, but lost at the party’s primary election.
