GOVERNOR of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, said his administration’s peerless performance would sway ndi Anambra to massively vote for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)’s candidate in the fourth coming gubernatorial election, Prof Charles Soludo and his running mate, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim.
Gov. Obiano stated this yesterday during an interactive session with members of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Anambra State and members of Radio, Television, Theatre Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) from South East zone, after a tour of Anambra International Cargo Airport, Umueri and International Conference Centre, Awka.
According to the governor, apart from commencing and completing 18 bridges, 109 roads, with 177 roads going on at various stages, without borrowing money to build them as well as the airport and the conference centre all within 15 months.
Explaining that as soon as the rains stop, massive maintenance of roads in the state especially those constructed by the previous administration will commence, Gov. Obiano regretted that internal roads in Anambra are destroyed by heavy trucks which divert to state internal roads because of the deplorable condition of the expressway.
Therefore, he warned those that block public road drainage with debris to desist from the act, explaining that it is also responsible for bad condition of many roads.
