AS COUNTDOWN to the November 6 gubernatorial election gathers more steam, Wife of Governor of Anambra State and Founder of Caring Family Enhancement (CAFÉ) Initiative, Dr. (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano has urged Anambra women to beware of fair weather politicians whose ambition is to take the state back to dark years.
Mrs. Obiano, who is fondly known as Osodieme among ndi Anambra, stated this in Awka while interacting with women under the aegis of Anambra Women of Peace and Growth Initiative.
According to him, if all Anambra women could stand up against those who want to force their way to power, the future of the Anambra child would have been safeguarded for good.
Calling on the women to keep the state in their prayers and ensure that only the best candidate is good enough for their ballot papers, the governor’s wife urged Anambra women to choose All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and its candidate, Prof. Charles Soludo, if they want the progress made by women under Gov. Willie Obiano-led administration to be sustained.
Responding, Member Representing Onitsha South II of Anambra State House of Assembly, Beverley Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche, promised to mobilise her constituents for APGA’s victory, stressing that nobody should sit on the fence.
Wife of APGA candidate, Nonyelum Soludo, also called on Anambra women to do as Mrs. Obiano has said, because only Prof. Soludo has wherewithal to give Anambra the best as everyone is yearning for.
