LIONEL Messi scored his first goal for PSG in his side’s 2-0 victory over Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Fans had to wait four matches to see the the Argentinian open his account with PSG but it couldn’t have come at a better time.
It was a moment worth the wait as Messi scored an absolute stunner.
City had been pressing hard for the equalizer and came extremely close with Bernardo Silva somehow missing an open net. Silva skied his shot onto the crossbar in what was one of the most bizarre misses you’ll ever see!
With the game on a knife’s edge and PSG hanging on to a 1-0 lead, Messi stepped up.
Messi reacted to his first PSG goal and has this to say to Canal+, the official sports news website in France.
“I am very happy to have scored. I haven’t played much recently, I had only played one game here [at the Parc des Princes]”, expressed Messi.
“I am adapting little by little. What is important is to keep winning”, said Messi.
Messi is adjusting to his newly formed partnership with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar. This trio will set the football world alight once this happens.
Messi’s goal sealed a crucial win at home for PSG over last years finalists. An important victory over the English Premier League champions.
The six-time Ballon D’or winner will next be in action on Sunday, 3 October against Stade Rennes
