LAGOS, FCT, 13 others report 93 deaths, 362 new infections yesterday in new national COVID-19 surge.

  Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed thus on its website today, adding that 93 COVID-19 related deaths were also recorded.

  Lagos State recorded the highest number of new infections with 200 cases, Oyo State – 33, Kwara State – 30, Akwa Ibom State – 24, Ogun State -17, Delta State – 15, Ekiti State – 15, Plateau State – 7, Rivers State – 7, FCT – 5, Anambra State – 3, Edo State – 3 while Bayelsa State, Kaduna State, and Kano State had a single case each.

  The health agency said the 362 new COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 191,345. яндекс

  However, 178,283 COVID-19 patients have recovered and have been discharged in the country and with 93 COVID-19 related deaths reported, the death toll from the virus has risen to 2,454, NCDC said.

  It added that a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 2, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
