THE Nigerian Government is set to receive over 698,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine today.

This was announced by Faisal Shuaib, the Executive Director, National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Faisal Shauib during a flag off of the second phase of vaccination in Abuja, today.

He disclosed that this batch of vaccines cover those who have not taken the second doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine and those who will like to take their first shots of the vaccine.

This development is coming as the country struggles to overcome the third wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic alongside minimising the damage caused by the dreaded Delta variant of the virus.
