ANAMBRA will not relent in strategic investments in the health sector.

Gov. Willie Obiano stated this during a forum organised in Awka by Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Awka Branch.

According to the governor, this is the only way his administration will continue to deliver quality health to the people.

Speaking while declaring the event open, Gov. Obiano, who was represented by Commissioner for Health, Vincent Okpala, said that his administration has made remarkable progress towards attaining global healthcare targets with notable policies.

He also commended the Nigeria Medical Association Awka Branch for choosing an insightful theme for this year’s meeting and lauded medical practitioners for their relentless service in health care delivery in Anambra State.

Earlier in his address, National President of Nigeria Medical Association, Prof. Innocent Ujah, who was  represented by National Treasurer, Eric Anazodo, said that Nigeria Medical Association will continue to ensure that members live above board in their medical practice, to enhance quality healthcare services and also charged members to be professional in their practices.
