Girl Guides Association marks Youth Skills Day, Saturday

IN ITS efforts to provide youths with useful skills, the Nigerian Girl Guides Association is organising her 2021World Youth Skill Day aimed at celebrating the resilience and creativity of youth throughout the COVID-19 crisis .

  In a release jointly signed by the state Commissioner of the association, Ezeakunne Charity and Secretary, Ukpa Ewa, the event ,with the theme, “Reimaging Youth Skills Post Pandemic which resulted in the widespread disruption of technical and vocational education and training sector,” will hold at the Gelly’s Garden, Aroma Junction, Awka, on July 17, 2021, by 10am.

  According to the statement, the day which will feature a one-day symposium to dialogue with young girls on the importance of acquiring skills for self-sustenance model of development. It equally seeks to celebrate the strategic imperativeness of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship.

  Highlight of the event will include unveiling of products produced by young girls during the COVID-19 pandemic.
