SEDI Managing Director, Prof. Ndubuisi assassinated in Enugu

MANAGING Director and Chief Executive Officer of Scientific Equipment and Development Institute (SEDI), Prof. Samuel Ndubuisi, was yesterday assassinated in Enugu, by unknown gunmen.

  Prof. Ndubuisi was assassinated around Centenary City Junction axis of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, in a PRADO jeep with registration number 26DO2FG.

  His police orderly was also shot dead while his driver sustained injuries and had been taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention.

  Eyewitnesses said several shots were fired on him at point blank range by the yet-to-be-identified gunmen who trailed  him to the spot where he met his death.

  The incident is coming barely 48 hours after Chief Executive Officer of AutoEase, a vehicle body repair, Ifeanyi Okeke, was also killed about two kilometers away from the point of the latest incident.

  Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Enugu State Command, Daniel Ndukwe confirmed the incident.

  Although Ndukwe said information concerning the incident was still sketchy, he explained that it happened at about 1600hrs.
