Anambra sues for hygiene, healthy living
RESIDENTS of Anambra have been advised to imbibe healthy living and hygiene at both personal and family levels.
Commissioner for Health, Vincent Okpala, gave the advice in Awka.
According to Dr Okpala, people can heed the advice by taking precaution in how they handle both immediate and public environment.
“Ndi Anambra should imbibe the habit of cleanliness to avoid and prevent water borne diseases. They can do so by always keeping COVID-19 preventive protocols, as the dreaded disease has not been defeated and ensuring they drink and cook with only hygienic water to be safe from water borne disease, as well as ensure that they do not contract the disease by keeping their environment clean,” he said.
Stressing that the advice is compelling amid the rainy season, Okpala further explained that this will reduce the spate of water borne diseases in families.
The commissioner also promised that his ministry will do all within their duties safeguard residents of the state from all forms of disease through adequate and proper sensitisation and awareness campaign.
