Ma Umunna passes on

THE family of Nnabueyi Michael An’enyeonwu Umunna has announced the death of Mrs Adibia Francisca Umunna of Ugenyi Umu-Osodi, Inosi-Onira kindred, Ogbeabo Onicha Ado n’du of Onitsha North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

  Ma Umunna passed on peacefully at Boston Medical Center, Boston, Machisisusetts, United States on  April 7, 2021.

According to a statement signed by Nwakibie George Ejiofor Umunna on behalf of the family, lying in state/ homage holds on Friday, July 2, 2021, in Umunna Ugenyi family compound at 13 Obianwu Street, off Court Road, Onitsha, by 9am.

 The funeral mass for the departed Umunna matriarch takes place at the Cathedral Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha, at 11 am, while interment follows after church service at Umunna Ugenyi Vault, at 13 Obianwu Street, Onitsha, even as  outing/thanksgiving service for Ma Umunna comes up on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at Cathedral Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha, by  10.30am.

 Ma Umunna, who was described as principled and kind hearted is survived by her children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, sisters and brothers, among whom is Dr. Josef-Bel Molokwu, former Managing Director, Anambra Newspaper and Printing Corporation, Awka.
