We’ll continue partnering police for security – Obiano
GOVERNOR of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to partnering police and other security agencies in provision of round-the-clock security of lives and properties in all the 181 communities in Anambra State.
Gov. Obiano made the promise while welcoming Assistant Inspector General (AIG) in charge of Zone 13, Mukaddas Muhammed, who paid a courtesy visit to the governor’s country in Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area.
Commending all the security agencies for their unrelenting commitment to protecting the people of Anambra State, Gov. Obiano also used the opportunity to present a utility vehicle to the AIG in support of his work.
Earlier while lauding the governor for finding time to receive him despite his busy schedule, Muhammed promised that he would deploy his wealth of experience in the protection of ndi Anambra and their properties, especially during the present challenging times.
But Muhammed equally solicited support of residents of the state in the fight against criminal elements of every hue, because according to him, “security is everybody’s business.”
The new AIG was accompanied by some top ranking officers during the visit.
It will be recalled that Muhammed is the third AIG to man zone since its creation nearly one year ago.
