ANAMBRA’S template of governance under the Gov. Willie Obiano-led administration has been rated as the best model in Nigeria in the present dispensation.

The delegation was led by Dr. Ibrahim Chonji.

Welcoming members of them, Secretary to State Government (SSG) of Anambra State, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, thanked members of the institute for their unbiased assessment.

Providing an overview of what the Obiano administration has done since its inception in 2014, while interacting with the team, Prof. Chukwulobelu assured them that what they saw around Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in study schedule was not a fluke but part of the indelible legacy that Gov. Obiano bequeathed on Anambra State.

Earlier while explaining their visit, Dr. Chonji, said the study tour was meant to acquaint the team with the nitty-gritties of governance in Anambra State, adding that they visited under the auspices of an apex Think Thank Agency of the federal government.

According to Dr. Chonji, Anambra was among 14 states in Nigeria which they were mandated to understudy by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He further explained that every year, NIPSS meets for 10 months in Kuru to deliberate on pressing national issues with a view to providing practicable solutions that were locally discovered. He promised to ensure that their recommendation of the Anambra model will be prescribed for other states for emulation or adaptation.
