Chidinma weds heartthrob, Chinedu

IT WAS a joyous and glamorous moment at Calvary Chapel, Bishop’s Court, Episcopal Drive, GRA, Onitsha, as the families of Mr. and Pastor Mrs. S.M Okeke, from Umunakwa, Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area and Chief Ajemba Uzodinma Joseph from Umunnachi, Dunukofia LGA witnessed the holy matrimony of their daughter and son, Chidinma Sandra Okeke, who walked down the aisle to seal nuptial vow with her other half, Chinedu Uzodinma.
While delivery his homily, the Anglican Bishop on the Niger, Rev. Dr. Owen Nwokolo affirmed that as God laid the foundation of the marriage institution, that his injunction to love unconditionally remains a guide to a successful marriage and stressed on the imperativeness for couples to always renew their love every day, while living in tolerance, peace and overcoming challenges with wisdom, prayer and understanding of each other.
Continuing, the officiating bishop admonished the couples to love, respect and care for one another irrespective of any hindrance as Jesus commanded, just like he loves and cares for the church and prayed God to grant them a blissful marriage and their love to continue to grow stronger with God as their cornerstone.
Speaking with National Light newspaper, the Vicar of St. Stephen’s Parish Oba, Ven. Izuchukwu Obiekwe, while congratulating the couple, admonished them to take seriously the word of God that they heard during the sermon by the bishop,and highlighted that marriage is like a building and needs to be renewed, maintained, repainted from time to time so that the beauty and joy do not fade.
On his part, the father of the bride, Mr. Sunny Okeke, while expressing his feelings said, ” I feel so good and happy to witness another event like this. My first daughter has done hers some time ago in 2018 and we are here again. I give God all the glory. My message to them is that marriage is full of joy and I enjoy my marriage, so I wish them same as mine. I pray God to guide and support them in all their endeavours.”
The elder brother of the groom, Mr. Nnamdi Uzodinma, who described his brother as a goal-getter and positive minded person, showered gratitude to God for making the day to work in accordance to his will and called on God to guide them, protect them, make them fruitful and bless them beyond measures, ” I praise Almighty God for today. I, being the pacesetter, took the first step and seeing my brothers following the footstep is a good thing. I pray God to bless them with every good thing that comes with marriage. He is a digital chief and we pray that their children will be more great in life”
In a vote of thanks, Mr. Chinedu Uzodinma thanked God for giving him “bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh” , expressed appreciation to all who graced the memorable day from both far and near places and prayed God to bless and grant them journey mercies back to their various destinations.
