Anambra council of NUJ pays courtesy visit to Anyaorah



THE Chairman of the Anambra state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalist, Comrade Emma Ifesinachi alongside of other executives and members of the council have paid a courtesy visit to one of the good sons of Oba and aspirant in the next election of Oba Royal father/Kingship in Idemili south local government area, Anambra, Chief Okwudiba Anyaorah also known as Ijere Oba.

Comr. Ifesinachi commended his Sec., Emma Udeagha whose in-law was visited for his intellectual ability even as they work as team to ensure the success of the council.

He said, “If I may say, this position is better for people like you as a young man who has what it takes to retain and sustain the stool of the throne but all we believe that if it is the will of God, it shall be well with you. In every position in life, one should be courageous and hand it over to God. So, on behalf of our members, I encourage you”.

It was recalled during the visit that after some period of years when the former king joined his ancestors, the community have not installed a new king who will take over the throne.

In his response, Chief Okwudiba Anyaorah appreciated members of the NUJ for such a wonderful visit and words of encouragement he received adding that in every aspects of life, man needs to be prayerful and allow the will of God to be done not minding his popularity.

In his word, “all I want is for the will of God to be done. If I am crowned today without God’s wisdom and protection, it is better the throne goes for who deserves it. I still love my ugly wife and beautiful children. She is ugly but I love her.

“Whoever takes the throne will get my support because I do not want crises in our community”.

Chief Anyakorah also stated that about twenty two plot of land has been purchased by the community to build a central palace for whoever is being crowned the king just as it is done in government like governor’s lodge and advised other parts of Igbo land to advocate it in their various communities.

In his closing remarks, the vice chairman of the council, Mr Francis Ekpone thanked Chief Anyakorah for bringing out his time to have such an interactive section with them adding that collective effort will be made among members of the council to support him through prayers and commended him for his sense of humor and generosity. He also prayed for a successful election of the kingship even as they partner together when emerged the winner.

Others present during the visit were the Financial secretary, Ogemdi Ozoemena, Nweke Nweke, Tobias among other members.
