Pa Chine laid to rest

EMOTIONS trailed at the interment ceremony of the late Mr. Innocent Chidozie Chine, a retired staff and father of Kenechukwu Chine, all of Anambra Newspapers and Printing Corporation ( ANPC), publisher of National Light, Ka O Di Taa and SportlightXTRA newspapers as he was laid to rest at his country home in Umuonoli-Ezeoye, Nibo, in Awka South Local Government Area.
The late Chine, fondly known as Ozonma,80, was described as a fervent Christian, community leader, hardworking, kind-hearted, industrious and simple man by family members, relatives, colleagues and well-wishers who came to sympathise with the family.
Leading a delegation, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ANPC, Chuka Nnabuife, represented by one of the retirees of ANPC and former Assistant Superintendent of Rotary International, Mr. Augustine Nwabufo Obionwu, alongside other retirees and staff of the organisation while consoling the entire family, encouraged them to always make God their fortress and prayed God to grant the soul of the deceased a peaceful rest in his bosom.
Sir Chuka expressed that the deceased will be greatly missed, ” he was so dutiful, very hard-working and a good man,” he said.
In their separate tributes, the brother and eldest son of the deceased, Godwin Chine and Emenike Chine pointed that the death of Pa Chine is an irreparable loss not only to the family but to all who has come in contact with him.
Similarly, Kenechukwu Chine, while extolling the good virtues of their father, promised to live by his father’s legacy, describing him as a man of peace, honour and dignity .
