Speaker extols Anambra’s workforce for dedication, productivity

SPEAKER of Anambra State House of Assembly, Uche Okafor has commended workers in the state for their comportment, dedication to duty and productivity.

  Okafor gave the commendation while describing the state’s workforce as one of the best motivated in the country.

  Speaking in his goodwill message to mark the 2021 Worker’s Day celebration, Okafor also extolled workers’ contributions to the development of the country, describing them further as the engine that drive all sectors of the economy.

  The Speaker, who also commended Gov. Willie Obiano for his consistent commitment to workers’ welfare, through regular payment of salaries and emolument, gratuity and pensions, as well as other incentives also called on workers to always remain committed to the tenets of civil and public service.

  Therefore, Okafor urged workers to reciprocate the gesture by showing more support to the Obiano administration and upholding the tenets of the civil service as well as shunning acts capable of tarnishing their reputation.
