Obiano, others lauded over Umuoji monarch’s last ofala

THE younger brother of the late  Igwe Cyril Enweze, Anthony Nnaife Enweze has on behalf of the family, expressed profound gratitude to Governor Willie Obiano, among many others who contributed in various ways for the successful end of the last ofala of the departed Igwe Cyril Nwabunwanne Enweze of Umuoji, in Idemili North Local Government Area.

Chief Enweze stated that the last ofala was spectacular and Enweze family is very appreciative of all the contributors for bringing this event to such a successful end and commended the governor for finding his brother worthy to serve the state in various categories.

“We also thank the Regent of Umuoji, Dr. Christopher Nnedu who was the vice to my brother and also key figure for making sure that this event was successful. Similarly, the same appreciation goes to the President General, Umuoji Improvement Union Nigeria, Chief Sly Onyima, “Ichie Ogigi” who was really the pillar behind the planning process and execution of the last ofala event.”

Chief Enweze,  described his late brother as a very pragmatic man and a pace setter who would take up challenges to make sure that the goals set was accomplished both on personal level, community level and globally as a spectacular economist.

According to him, “he served very well in every aspect of life. As the traditional ruler of Umuoji, he brought unprecedented changes for advancement in the community. Dr Cyril Enweze was a leader with the willingness to stick on a bold course of action, an unconventional and prolific strategy, a unique goal oriented roadmap, and holistic problems solving initiatives even as others wonder why he was not marching in step without the status quo.

“He understands that in an era of hyper-competition and non-stop disruption, the only way to stand out from the crowd is to stand for something special, productive, pragmatic, and prudent to all”, he said.

While speaking on how he intends to carry the family along, he said that he could never be the person to fill the big shoe left by his late brother as he believes that the family should come together to use his legacy to expand some of those values he has brought into the family as he primarily based on making love and care to one another.

Chief Enweze further thanked the entire executives of Umuoji Improvement Union and last ofala planning committee members who were the supporters that took up various tasks to make sure that all the activities was well coordinated.

He also thanked the Parish Priest of St. Francis Catholic Church, Umuoji, Rev. Udegbuka and other parishioners.
