In Enugu, woman kills stepson

ENUGU State Police Command has arrested a 29-year-old woman Mrs. Nnenna Egwuagu for killing his stepson Wisdom Egwuagu by injecting him with a poisonous substance.

  Police Public Relation Officer, Enugu, Daniel Ndukwe, revealed the information, stating that the father of the deceased, Mr Justine Egwuagu, reported the incidence to police operatives attached to 9th Mile Police   Division in Enugu alleging that the child’s sudden death was as a result of the noxious substance administered on him by his Stepmom.

  He further said that the preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect confessed to having administered the noxious substance to the child because of her husband’s neglected her and the daughter  that she only wanted to make the child sick so her husband could spend money to treat him.

  PPRO Ndukwe said the child was confirmed dead at the hospital and his corpse deposited in the Mortuary for autopsy, while the container of the noxious substance and syringe used in perpetrating the hideous act has been recovered for further investigation.
